Featured speakers for eLEAD, Madison County’s Summer of Learning Conference, announced

MADISON COUNTY, IND. - School leaders from Alexandria Community Schools, Anderson Community Schools, Elwood Community Schools, Frankton-Lapel Community Schools, and South Madison Community Schools, who were awarded a grant to hold a joint conference next summer, have announced their featured speakers for their eLEAD conference:


  • Gerry Brooks is a veteran educator in Lexington Kentucky with experience in the classroom, as an intervention specialist, and as an administrator. Through his unique blend of passion, humor, and first-hand educational experience, Brooks has built a social media following of more than 3 million followers.
  • Dr. Megan Tolin is a professor at Trine University, a Certified Educational Technology Leader (CETL), a Level 2 Google Certified Educator, and recently completed her doctorate in educational technology. Prior to Trine, Dr. Tolin was the Director of Technology, Innovation, and Pedagogy at the IU School of Education.
  • Eric Curts is an Authorized Google Education Trainer and Innovator. He has provided thousands of hours of training for schools around the country for more than twenty years.

eLEAD, Madison County’s Summer of Learning Conference, will be held on June 1-2, 2022 at Highland Middle School in Anderson, Indiana. The focus of the conference is to demonstrate high impact strategies to help accelerate learning recovery. 


All K-12 education professionals are encouraged to attend. The conference is also open to educators outside of Madison County. Registration information, a call for proposals, and sponsorship opportunities will be made available soon.


Since 2001, Madison County schools have collaborated to provide meaningful professional development opportunities for teachers and administrators through the CAPE Teacher Connection, CAPE Principal Network, summer workshops, and various learning partnerships. In recent years, the districts hosted eLEAD conferences.
