2023 Insurance Information
 
Effective January 1, 2023, Anderson Community Schools (ACS) employees covered by the Health Insurance plan will now be covered by United Healthcare instead of CIGNA. The ACS insurance committee has made this move due to United's better network overall, better negotiated prices with providers, and lower fixed costs. Still, premiums will increase 8% for the PPO and our two HDHP plans.
 
To help contain costs and give all covered employees another cost effective option, we will be introducing a new Charter plan also effective January 1, 2023. This new plan incorporates a focused set of providers closely aligned with the Community Health Network, the Franciscan Health Network as well as others. This new plan is available under the PPO, HDHP Plan B and HDHP Plan C.  If an employee elects the Charter option under any of the three plans already in place, there will be a zero premium increase for 2023.
 
Note: We will be retaining RX Benefits as our prescription provider.
