Mayor's Ball Grant in Action!
Last year's Mayor's Ball raised over $40,000 for our Anderson students.  Grants were given to over forty teachers to create projects and experiences for their students to get them excited about learning.
Students of ACS, mostly language minority and special needs students, are being exposed to science, technology, engineering and math with a very hands-on and engaging program.Students working on electrical circuit
Recently, students at Valley Grove Elementary participated in Electricity in a Snap, one of the labs presented by the Fort Wayne-based Science Central.  The labs are funded by the Anderson Mayor Thomas Broderick Jr.'s Grants for Teachers program.
Dr. Treva Bostic, ACS's Director of Multicultural Education and Behavioral Services, spearheaded the effort to get this program in our Anderson schools.
