Oooof! I've Been Spoofed!

Hacks, phishing attacks, spoofs: these are all terms for attacks on email accounts.

IF YOU ARE A VICTIM:

Change your password. This may or may not help but it won't hurt! (How to change your password.)
If you continue to have a problem call Joe Cronk's office: 641-2001.
Be aware that Google may suspend your account for 24 hours if you (or more likely, your hacker) exceeds your email limit.

IF YOU WANT TO AVOID BEING A VICTIM:

~NEVER NEVER NEVER open an attachment or follow a web link in an email if you are not 100% sure it is legitimate.

~Look for MISSPELLINGS, ODD STYLE OF LANGUAGE, ODD CONTENT, ETC.
~If something looks amiss it probably is.

~DELETE THE EMAIL if it looks suspicious to you.
~Inform yourself. More info here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Email_spoofing
