Highland High School girls' show choir, Starliters, and mixed show choir, Highland Singers, both won grand champion recently at the Showstoppers Show Choir Invitational at Walt Disney World in Florida. The Highland Singers won $2,500 and the Starliters won $1,500 for the James E. Dash Memorial Scholarship for Artistic Excellence.

The Highland Singers were named grand champions at the Midwest Showcase at Huntington North High School. They received Best Band, Best Vocals, and tied for Best Choreography.
