  • FAMILY INVOLVEMENT MATTERS
    What does the Year of the Family mean? It means we need you! We need you to be involved as a parent in your student's education. It is imperative that your children believe that education is the key to their future and that you are committed to helping them succeed.

    At Anderson Community Schools we are excited about the future. Students are coming to school better prepared, first time instruction continues to improve, there is an intentional focus on early literacy, less disciplinary issues (even though there are still too many) and graduation rates have rapidly improved. However, nothing is sustainable unless the FAMILY encourages their student and supports their school

    As superintendent I am happy to report that Anderson Community Schools continues to make positive changes as a school district in a variety of ways, but during the 2016 - 2017 school year, we are focused on involving our families.

    Each of our buildings has developed plans and is ready to inspire your children with our "We Believe" campaign. As stated, our focus is on our facmilies. We will be reaching out to our community as we have entitled this year "The Year of the Family".

    Indiana's students, educators, parents and community members are concerned. New Assessments require the State to first address improvements necessary for a Student-Centered Accountability System.
