Early intervention grant |

This fall the 5 kindergarten classrooms will use funds from the Early Intervention Grant to implement a partnership amongst parents, students and teachers. One major part of this partnership will be the use of the Waterford Early Reading Program TM . Waterford will be used on a daily basis by all 100 kindergarten students to help them develop some of the age appropriate pre-reading skills that many come to school lacking.
Anderson Elementary appreciates the efforts of Kate Kalisz and Michael Shunneson who teamed up to write the grant which is worth over $60,000. The majority of this grant will pay for the Waterford Early Reading Program TM as well as staff development in reading instruction for the Kindergarten staff and other materials for students to use in the classroom.
